SIZING

While buying clothing for your little ones may be a joy, getting the right size might prove slightly more difficult! Read through the guidance, FAQ and size guide on this page to help guide you through the process.

Newborn sizing

Newborn sizes are from 0-3 months, with a height of approximately 52-56 cm / 21''. LUCA & LUCA clothing is expected to fit across the first three months and possibly beyond.

Babies sizing

Our range of baby sets and bodysuits are ideal for babies aged between 3-6 months (58 – 64cm / 24”) Bodysuits are an all-in-one without the legs that will not ride up. Our range of pram shoes are ideal for babies who like to crawl, and help to keep little feet warm when in the pram.

Toddlers sizing

Toddlers are generally between 18 months to 3 years (78cm-98cm) although this age tends to vary depending on your perception and how quickly the child is growing.

Boys and girls sizing

To ensure that you get the best usage and value from your boys and girls’ clothing, look out for classic styles and cuts, which are hard-wearing and easily mixed and matched with our items, to change looks.

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do LUCA & LUCA clothes fit?

This is always a difficult question for us to answer as, put simply, each child is different. Our sizing is based on average sizing, though Spanish clothing is generally more fitted, so if you would like to get more wear out of your items, or if your child wears clothing larger than their ages, we would suggest sizing up.

If a buy, say, a size 2Y dress, does that mean it will run up to that size, or is wearable at that size?

Where we state the size of an item, you can expect your child to fit into the clothing for that duration of time. For example, a dress which is 2 years, you can expect the garment to still fit at 2 years, and slightly beyond this too, depending of course on your child.

What length are your dresses?

This question gets asked a lot, and the simple answer is that is depends on which dress and even in which collection. Our winter dress length may be slightly longer, and vice versa with summer. Please email us at info@lucaandluca.com if you’d like to check before you buy.
